Family project, owned by the cruise company Tomaz Douro – Empreendimentos Turísticos Lda., the new hotel joins two old buildings in Praça da Ribeira/ corner with R. Fonte Taurina and has 18 comfortable rooms, with bathrooms with windows, crockery. design and glass doors, digital TV, air conditioning, telephone, safe, hairdryer, and Saboaria Portugueza brand amenities.
Architect Ricardo Azevedo project, the hotel preserves the beautiful façades that compose it and is distinguished by its sober and design decoration, and by its privileged location, which offers from all rooms beautiful views over the Ribeira, the river and the bridges. In the rooms, the connection between the Douro (destinations of cruises) and Porto is made by gigantic and magnificent old black and white photographs of these regions, which fill the background of the walls behind the beds. Another curiosity is the 'Tasca Bar', a pleasant breakfast space (7:30 to 10:30), which recreates, with grace and taste, a typical Portuguese tavern from the 1930s, with its wooden chairs and tables with marble tops.
